Club Coop Inc. (“Club Coop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Club Coop website, mobile applications, and related products and services that help users search for grocery and household-item prices, compare offers, save preferences, and receive shopping-related recommendations (collectively, the “Services”).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and otherwise process personal information when you access or use the Services, communicate with us, or interact with our advertisements, emails, or content.

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information:

A. Identifiers and account information

  • name

  • email address

  • phone number, if provided

  • account username or login credentials

  • account authentication and verification information

  • customer support ticket information

B. Profile, preference, and shopping information

  • favorite stores

  • saved items, lists, and preferences

  • product searches and browsing activity within the Services

  • deal and recommendation preferences

  • responses to surveys, forms, or promotions

C. AI and support interaction data

  • prompts, messages, and inputs submitted to Club Coop’s AI-powered or automated features

  • customer-support correspondence and attachments

  • notes or records generated to respond to your request or improve service quality

D. Device, network, and usage data

  • operating system

  • device identifiers

  • mobile-device advertising identifiers, where permitted

  • app version and crash logs

  • session activity, pages viewed, features used, links clicked, referral URLs, and time stamps

E. Location data

  • approximate location derived from IP address or device settings

  • precise geolocation, if you choose to enable it in your device or app settings

F. Billing and transaction information

  • subscription or premium-plan status, if applicable

  • billing address and payment-related metadata maintained by our payment processor

  • limited payment records needed for reconciliation, fraud prevention, customer support, and legal compliance

Club Coop does not store full payment card numbers, CVV codes, or full bank-account credentials unless expressly stated at collection and permitted by applicable law.

G. Advertising and analytics data

  • cookie IDs and similar identifiers

  • measurement and campaign-attribution information

  • interactions with advertisements, marketing emails, and promotional messages

  • inferences about likely interests based on interactions with the Services

H. Sensitive and health-adjacent information

Depending on how you use the Services, certain data may be considered sensitive personal information or consumer health data under applicable law, including:

  • precise geolocation

  • account log-in credentials

  • certain payment-related information

  • searches, saved items, or shopping patterns that could reveal or imply physical or mental health conditions, reproductive or sexual health interests, treatment interests, or similar health-related inferences

We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes prohibited by applicable law. Where required by law, we will obtain consent or provide an appropriate right to limit, opt out, or withdraw consent.

2. Sources of Information

We collect personal information from the following sources:

  • directly from you when you create an account, submit forms, save preferences, communicate with us, or otherwise use the Services

  • automatically from your browser, device, or app when you access the Services

  • from analytics, advertising, fraud-prevention, and measurement vendors

  • from payment processors, customer-support tools, communications providers, and authentication vendors

  • from publicly available or licensed retail, product, offer, and price data sources

  • from your interactions with our emails, notifications, advertisements, or promotions

  • from other third parties when you direct or authorize them to share information with us

3. How We Use Information

We may use personal information for the following purposes:

  • to provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services

  • to create and manage accounts

  • to personalize search results, store recommendations, deals, and other shopping-related content

  • to support AI-powered search, chat, recommendation, or automation features

  • to send marketing communications, promotions, newsletters, and offers, subject to your choices and applicable law

  • to analyze use of the Services, debug errors, prevent fraud, and protect against abuse or unlawful activity

  • to comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights, property, safety, users, and partners

  • to create aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified datasets for analytics, research, operations, and commercial reporting

We may combine information collected from different sources for the purposes above, subject to applicable law.

4. Cookies, Pixels, and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, SDKs, pixels, tags, local storage, device IDs, and similar technologies to:

  • keep you logged in

  • remember your preferences

  • understand how the Services are used

  • measure campaign performance and attribution

  • detect fraud, bots, or abuse

  • personalize content or offers

  • support advertising, analytics, and remarketing activities

You can manage certain cookies and similar technologies through your browser or device settings. Some choices may affect the availability or functionality of parts of the Services.

If Club Coop offers an in-app privacy-controls center, you may also use those settings to manage analytics, advertising, and location preferences.

5. Advertising, Analytics, and Sale/Sharing Disclosures

Club Coop does not currently sell personal information for monetary consideration.

However, we may disclose identifiers, device identifiers, online activity, approximate location, cookie data, advertising identifiers, and related inferences to analytics providers, advertising partners, and measurement vendors for purposes such as campaign attribution, audience building, analytics, and cross-context behavioral advertising. Under certain privacy laws, some of these disclosures may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or processing for targeted advertising.

We may also use hashed identifiers, such as hashed email addresses, where permitted, to measure or improve advertising and marketing performance.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under the age of 16.

If we materially expand our monetization, advertising, or third-party data-disclosure practices, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notice, opt-out right, consent, or authorization required by law before doing so.

6. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients:

A. Service providers and processors

Including vendors that help us with hosting, infrastructure, analytics, security, authentication, customer support, payment processing, communications, AI/ML tooling, and business operations.

B. Advertising, analytics, and measurement partners

Including vendors that help us understand usage, measure campaigns, personalize content or advertising, attribute conversions, or build audiences, subject to your choices and applicable law.

C. Business and commercial partners

Including partners involved in promotions, offers, sweepstakes, co-branded programs, or sponsored placements, subject to the terms of the applicable program and your privacy choices.

D. Corporate transaction participants

If Club Coop is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, personal information may be disclosed as part of that process and transferred as part of the transaction, subject to applicable law.

E. Legal and safety disclosures

We may disclose personal information when we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to:

  • comply with law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request

  • investigate, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues

  • enforce our agreements and policies

  • protect the rights, property, or safety of Club Coop, our users, our partners, or others

F. De-identified and aggregated disclosures

We may disclose aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, subject to applicable law and appropriate safeguards.

7. AI and Automated Features

Club Coop may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automated systems to power search, recommendations, personalization, customer support, safety tools, and other product features.

When you use AI-powered features, your prompts, inputs, and related metadata may be processed by Club Coop and by third-party service providers acting on our behalf.

AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unavailable at times. You should not rely on AI outputs as the sole basis for purchase, safety, legal, medical, financial, or other high-impact decisions.

Where required by law, we will provide additional disclosures or choices regarding automated processing.

8. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

A. Account and profile controls

You may update certain account details, saved preferences, lists, and settings through your account or by contacting us.

B. Marketing communications

You may opt out of promotional emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send service-related or transactional messages.

C. Location permissions

You may control precise-location permissions through your device settings and, where available, within the Club Coop app.

D. Cookies and advertising controls

You may manage cookies through your browser settings. You may also use available device or browser controls to limit certain tracking or advertising-related processing.

Where required by applicable law, Club Coop will process valid browser-based or device-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as requests to opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising for the browser or device transmitting the signal.

E. U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • know or access the personal information we have collected about you

  • obtain information about categories of sources, purposes of processing, and categories of recipients

  • correct inaccurate personal information

  • delete personal information

  • obtain a portable copy of certain personal information

  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information

  • opt out of targeted advertising or certain profiling activities

  • limit the use or disclosure of sensitive personal information, where applicable

  • appeal our decision on a privacy-rights request

  • use an authorized agent to submit certain requests on your behalf, where permitted by law

If we deny your request in whole or in part, you may appeal by replying to our response or by emailing hello@joinclubcoop.com with the subject line “Privacy Rights Appeal.”

F. California-specific disclosures

For California residents, Club Coop’s disclosures of personal information to advertising and analytics partners may constitute “sale” or “sharing” under California law, depending on the facts. California residents may request to opt out of those disclosures, request correction or deletion, request access to categories and specific pieces of personal information, and, where applicable, request to limit use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.

Club Coop will not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under age 16 without any consent required by law.

G. Washington consumer health data disclosures

This section applies only to the extent Club Coop processes “consumer health data” subject to Washington law.

If product searches, saved items, browsing behavior, or location data reveal or imply health status, treatment interests, reproductive or sexual health interests, or similar information, Club Coop may process that information only as permitted by law and this Privacy Policy.

The categories of consumer health data we may collect include:

  • health-related searches, saved items, or shopping inferences

  • precise location that may indicate visits to health-related stores or providers, if enabled

  • support or user-submitted information that expressly references health-related products or interests

Sources of such data may include your direct use of the Services, your device settings, customer-support interactions, and other information you choose to provide.

We may disclose consumer health data to processors acting on our behalf only to provide and support the Services, for legal compliance, or as otherwise permitted by law.

We do not sell consumer health data without first obtaining any separate authorization required by Washington law.

If you are entitled to rights under Washington law, you may request access to, deletion of, or withdrawal of consent regarding consumer health data by contacting us using the request methods listed above.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

In general, we retain categories of personal information according to the following baseline schedule, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law:

  • account and profile information: while your account is active and generally up to 3 years after your last interaction with the Services

  • saved lists, store preferences, and shopping preferences: while your account is active and generally up to 24 months after your last interaction

  • customer support records and AI/chat interactions: generally up to 24 months after resolution or last interaction

  • precise geolocation data: generally no longer than 12 months unless a shorter period is operationally feasible or a longer period is required for a lawful purpose you have requested

  • analytics and advertising identifiers: generally up to 13 months from collection or last refresh, subject to your choices and applicable law

  • billing, tax, and transaction records: generally up to 7 years where required for accounting, tax, legal, or audit purposes

  • privacy-rights request records and suppression lists: for as long as needed to honor your request and demonstrate compliance

We may de-identify information and retain it in de-identified form for research, analytics, service improvement, and reporting.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for notifying us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate steps.

12. International Transfers

Club Coop is based in the United States and may process or store personal information in the United States or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have data-protection laws that differ from those in your country of residence.

If you use the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions as described in this Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by posting the updated policy, updating the “Last Updated” date, and, where required, providing additional notice through the Services, by email, or by another appropriate method.
